Hello,

I’m Viridiana Marín, born and raised in Mexico City. In 2021, I moved to London for love and, in the process, I also began a new chapter of my creative journey.

I founded Studio Cactus as a way to rediscover myself as an artist. I’ve always been a writer, but adapting to a new country and a new life wasn’t easy. When words no longer flowed, I turned to embroidery — and from there, a new story began. Guided by colors and fueled by nostalgia, I started crafting piñatas and experimenting with paper in all its forms. Through these creations, I slowly found my way back to storytelling again.

Studio Cactus is a space where I create stories without words — only through colors, textures, and love. I use recycled materials like paper scraps, plastic bottles, and newspaper, and even make my own glue with flour. I’m still exploring different techniques of making and reusing, always searching for new ways to transform everyday things into something meaningful.
